directing work
I couldn't have been more honored to direct "The Wonder Years" for the amazingly thoughtful and creative Saladin Patterson and Fred Savage for ABC/Disney+. It was a dream come true to get the opportunity to direct this reimagining of one of my all time favorite shows with this talented cast. The show provided a range of humorous and emotional scenes to direct, but episode Episode 1.20 was particularly special because I was treated to singing from the incredibly gifted Saycon Sengbloh, and Dule Hill.
It was a blast creating these nostalgic images representing Reynolds Wrap's 70 year history. My team and I combed through hundreds of vintage images to create these era inspired vignettes to pair with some fun creative brought to me by Havas Chicago. The food prep was particularly hilarious as we had the opportunity to recreate some pretty silly dishes we found in old school cookbooks.
In this spot we had the run of Guaranteed Rate Stadium (Comisky Park) in Chicago. We had one day to shoot baseball legend Frank "The Big Hurt " Thomas making the stadium his home and back yard. He was fun to work with and game for anything.
